Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2: Kunal Thakur QUITS Parth Samthaan-Erica Fernandes Starrer; Says ‘Don’t Feel Safe Shooting Under Current Circumstances’
After Karan Singh Grover, now Kunal Thakur has quit Parth Samthaan-Erica Fernandes starrer Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2. He said he doesn’t feel safe shooting under current circumstances
In the last few days, we saw several celebrities get back to work and resume shooting for films and television shows with full safety measures. The shoot for Parth Samthaan-Erica Fernandes starrer has resumed too, and we already saw Parth sharing pictures from the sets, wherein the makeup artist was seen in a PPE suit and people wore masks. Karan Singh Grover, who used to play Mr. Bajaj, won’t be a part of the show anymore, and Karan Patel will be seen replacing his role. Now, another actor from the popular show has decided to quit. Kunal Thakur, who plays the character of Anurag Basu’s nephew on the show has quit as he doesn’t feel safe shooting under current circumstances.
In an interview with Times Of India, Kunal said that he recently underwent a wisdom tooth surgery and was on medication, due to which his immunity has dipped. He also said that his area is a containment zone, and it’s not feasible for him to commute from his residence in Madh Island to Andheri. “I don’t have a driver who will take me to work every day. I am very new to the industry and I feel that I am not equipped to combat such a crisis while I am shooting. I would like to stay at home till the scare settles.”
Kunal also said that the makers had planned to give Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2 a time leap and they were chosen to add a fresh angle to the show, however, lockdown happened. “Now, they are again planning to introduce many changes and twists. While I have no issues creatively, I don’t feel safe shooting under the current circumstances,” he said.
Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2 was his debut television show, and Kunal Thakur had joined the show in March.
